Job Responsibilities
Cost Management & Budget Control
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for housing/commercial developments
- Monitor and control project costs from inception through completion
- Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts and cost reports
- Identify cost risks and implement mitigation strategies
Procurement & Contract Administration
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process
- Evaluate tenders and make recommendations for contractor appointments
- Administer construction contracts
- Prepare and assess interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Drafting LOA for consultant/ contractor/vendor
- Prepare cost comparison for quotation received
- Searching for building materials
Project Support
- Work closely with development, design, and construction teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
- Provide commercial advice throughout the design and construction phases
- Attend client consultant meeting, project meetings and site visits as required
Valuations & Payments
- Assess contractor and subcontractor applications for payment
- Certify payments in line with contract terms
- Manage change control and valuation of variations
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Postgraduate Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the developer or construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in managing multiple projects within tight timelines.
- Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and committed to meeting deadlines.
